Senior Business System Analyst

    Job Description:

  • Experience as a BA with web Technologies, Additional User Acceptance testing is a plus.
  • Additional Skills Agile/Rally/Jira is a plus.
  • Good to have computer software skills and Insurance domain knowledge
  • May provide consultation to Product Owner, Quality Director for delivery or users in the area of represented systems.
  • Working knowledge of phases of the Software product life cycle, defining engineering specifications, customer requirements gathering, BRD, User stories and Acceptance criteria
  • Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation of proper system requirement specifications.
  • Applies the Scientific Process steps to question, research, hypothesize, test, formulate results, draw conclusions and implement a solution; understands appropriate tools, technologies and statistical/optimization models and techniques.
  • Able to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes, knowledge of products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to explain complex requirements in clear and understandable manner and to perform systems analysis.
  • Willingness to work using Agile methodologies, Support to Quality Assurance and Software Development teams.
  • Work on enterprise system problems of diverse scope where analysis and evaluation of functionality is required.
  • Supports the successful delivery, enhancement, and maintenance of Insurance products.
  • Ensures new product functionality is delivered as required and does not impact existing products.
  • Assist in the development of acceptance criteria working with the QA team.
  • Provide assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing cost effect systems and procedures that meet the requirements of the end user.
  • Provide functional and business practice recommendations and direction to less experienced business systems analysts.
  • Have very good knowledge of Auto Insurance domain / MGA distribution / Agent process flow
  • Provide functional consulting on represented products.
  • Research and analyses current systems to gain an understanding of customer business requirements (As is process) that are needed to support development of new solutions (To be process).

    Qualification:

  • Master of Business Administration, or other equivalent discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, with an emphasis on Business Analyst, and proven ability in writing Requirement document, User stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience with CA Agile Central is a plus
  • Experience with Agile, Kanban or other rapid application development methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges
  • Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software

Preferred Qualifications:

P&C Insurance Domain Knowledge is a plus
Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation is a plus
Knowledge of web Technologies is a plus
Any of the following test certifications – CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA - is a plus
Experience with payments technology and industry is a plus

Houston Marketing Representative

Job Type: Full-time

Our company works with thousands of independent insurance agents. We are looking for a candidate to serve a portion of the Houston, Texas market.

The person we accept for this position will have relationship skills, an ability to communicate well, follow up, stay organized and have an interest in growing their sales, marketing and insurance skills and knowledge. This person will travel throughout Houston and on occasion to other markets. We provide a car allowance, gas card, cell phone, computer and cover any hotel and airfare costs. When out of town we provide a daily per-diem. We require and install a GPS device on all marketing rep vehicles and/or phone.

This person will be meeting with numerous independent agents each day. Training agency principles and their staff on how to use our products. Meeting and presenting our product to new agents with whom we do not currently have a relationship. Encouraging agents and their staff to choose our products over our competitors. Developing solid relationships that are a catalyst to business growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and customer service from within an independent insurance agency office.

You will report to the Sales Director and work closely with our executive staff.
